HURRICANE MOVES TOWARDS US EAST COAST AS MILLIONS URGED TO EVACUATE

FRIDAY, October 7, 2016 :-  Millions of residents along the US east coast in the states of Florida, North and South Carolina and Georgia yesterday heeded warnings to evacuate, as powerful category 4 hurricane Matthew raced towards the area.

In Florida where the storm is expected to make land sometime today, governor Rick Scott had a stern warning to people up and down the coastal areas “Get out the storm will kill you.”

Responding to the dire warnings millions of people stocked up on food, and fuel before fleeing their homes and heading into shelters. Last night governor Scott declared a state of emergency and president Obama assured that “Federal help will be provided,” as he too urged residents to “evacuate.” Describing the storm as “a monster,” experts reasoned that it will likely be “the most catastrophic to hit the area in recent memory.”

The storm has already caused severe damage in the Bahamas and Haiti and is blamed for more than 100 deaths, across the Caribbean.
