JETS, BUFFALO WIN, GIANTS LOSE IN NFL OPENER FROM OUR SPORTS DESK

There were mixed results for the three New York teams in their opening games of the
2015 – 2016 National Football League (NFL) season on Sunday.

The Buffalo Bills under former New York Jets coach Rex Ryan, defeated the Indianapolis Colts 27 26 loss to the Dallas Cowboys after leading 23 – 20 with under 2
minutes to play in the game. Quarter Back Eli Manning was quick to accept blame for “the error,” that allowed the Cowboys to snatch victory in the last couple seconds.

It was a heartbreaking loss for Giants fans who have been let down by the team in recent years. While the Jets were not totally dominant, they did what was required of them to take the opening game of the season. Teams like to win their first games of a season,as it gives them impetus going forward.

The Giants plays their first home game of the season this weekend and will seek to bounce back from the loss.
